The Special Care Nursery Registered Nurse will be part of a dynamic team providing high-quality care to neonates in a state-of-the-art level 4 special care service. This role requires a Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration, a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in neonatal nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and high-quality care to neonates in the Special Care Nursery
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the efficient and effective running of the unit, adhering to Healthscope and site policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience in neonatal nursing
- Post Graduate Certificate in neonatal nursing or willingness to undertake
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team
- Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
- Flexibility with shift allocation timing
