About the Role

The Northern Beaches Council is seeking a skilled Work Recovery Specialist to join its HR team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the Recovery at Work Program in a self-insurance framework, providing proactive support to workers, managers, and stakeholders to facilitate a positive recovery through work.

You will work closely with the wider HR Team to ensure compliance with legislation and SIRA Standards of Practice, while developing tailored Recovery at Work Plans to drive positive outcomes for employees and meet organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Focusing on early intervention to facilitate and support a proactive person-centred recovery at work process.
  • Coordinating a worker's recovery through the development and management of tailored Recovery at Work Plans.
  • Supporting workers to understand and comply with relevant legislation and Council policies.
