Senior Culinary Team Member

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a Senior Culinary Team Member.

As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting all kitchen activities and preparing high-quality food that exceeds our guests' expectations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing meals to the highest standards of presentation and taste
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workstation, including supplies, equipment, and waste
  • Developing your team and improving performance through coaching and feedback
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and meeting or exceeding health and safety requirements
  • Assisting with washing up and other kitchen duties as needed
  • Participating in ad-hoc duties as a team player

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
  • A current Safe Food Handling Certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities for guest satisfaction
  • Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • 2 years' experience as a chef; supervisory experience is beneficial
