We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at WA Country Health Service. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialized clinical mental health nursing services to patients in the Emergency Department and other areas of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and specialized clinical mental health nursing consultancy services to patients and healthcare teams
- Triage and conduct primary assessments of patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Consult with clinicians, provide assistance and information to carers, and liaise with relevant others as required
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
- Significant relevant clinical and managerial experience in mental health services
- Demonstrated advanced skills in nursing management of complex psychiatric presentations, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and management of aggression
- Demonstrated advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
