Job Description:

You will be part of the Hitachi Energy team in Sydney, Australia, leading the Project Management Office and overseeing the execution of medium to large-sized Distribution and Power Transformers projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Project Managers in the successful execution of assigned projects.
  • Coach and mentor Project Managers, ensuring their development plans are fulfilled and role qualifications are met.
  • Ensure all project-related activities align with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Build strong customer relationships and manage satisfaction through timely project execution.
  • Act as the first escalation point for customer inquiries and support the project team in resolving cross-functional roadblocks.
  • Active project allocation and resource loading monitoring to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Supervise project execution, performance management, and contract fulfillment through regular project reviews with management and Project Managers.
  • Accountable for accurate monthly revenue, profitability, and collections forecasts, defining and delivering action plans to achieve them.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with strong technical background and project management qualifications.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of proven experience in project management within the electrical industry.
  • Experience in project execution of Substation projects or similar projects related to Design, Supply, Installation of high-voltage equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to lead a team, and convince stakeholders in the interest of the project.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • SAP or another ERP Platform knowledge is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in project deliverables.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and challenges.
  • Strong communication skills.
