Caregiver

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at Northaven Facility in Kerang, Victoria on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our clients, working collaboratively with the Registered Nurse to develop individualized care plans.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Aged Care Sector or with elderly people, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be required to maintain strict privacy and dignity with all information relating to client care and promote same with other members of the team or contractors on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering client care within a team approach based on mutual respect and clear communication.
  • Ensuring all review processes (annual care plan and clinical care delivery) are reviewed and audited as per Baptcare schedule and NUM's direction.
  • Understanding Baptcare quality and risk management systems and using them effectively to record risks and recommend improvements.
  • Maintaining safe storage and delivery of medications according to procedure to ensure regulatory compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completed Diploma in Nursing and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working with aged care software and technology.
  • Current Driver's License.
