Job Description:

This apprenticeship offers hands-on training in mechanical repair and maintenance, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of heavy vehicle technology.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology course will be completed at Shellharbour TAFE, ensuring participants possess the necessary skills to excel in their role.
  • Upon completion, participants will have gained four years of practical experience, as well as formal qualifications that may include additional certifications such as Medium Rigid (MR) truck licences, forklift tickets, and loader competencies.
About the Role:

This is a temporary full-time position lasting up to 4 years or the duration of the apprenticeship. Participants can expect to work 38 hours per week with a 9-day fortnight, receiving on-the-job training and having compulsory course costs covered by Council.
