Key Service AreasWe specialise in inventory management, issue and sale of Defence clothing items, combat uniforms and equipment. Additionally, we provide specialist kitting activities for training, exercises and operational requirements, bespoke tailoring services, manufacture of name tags, and court mounting of medals, miniatures and ribbon bars.
About This RoleWe are seeking a reliable Storeperson to join our team at Lavarack Barracks, one of the largest AUS Defence Sites in Townsville. The successful candidate will play a key role in receiving and managing stock, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining a clean and organised store environment.
What We Look For In Our Candidates- A valid forklift license is desirable.
- Experience in warehousing or store environments is beneficial.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Suite skills.
- Previous experience with systems such as MILIs will be highly regarded.
- You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence clearance.
- Use the computer system to track stock quantities and locations.
- Operate machinery, including forklifts, to move goods safely OR obtain a forklift license.
- Ensure proper custody of inventory by conducting regular stock checks, monitoring quantities, assessing equipment for deterioration, tracking shelf life expiration, and maintaining security.
- Assist with general store duties, including packing and scheduling.
- Perform regular cleaning tasks to keep the store tidy and organised.
