About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to support the delivery of our committed work and growing pipeline of prospects for government and institutional clients.

As a senior member of our team, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage client relationships, providing strategic, technical, and commercial advice to inform both our project team and our clients' decision-making at various phases in a transport, health, and/or education project.

The ideal candidate will have experience in design and delivery stages of a complex infrastructure project management lifecycle, ideally both as a client-side and client-facing PM. They will also understand key technical requirements and be able to identify deliverables and outcomes required to fulfill the client's scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic, technical, and commercial advice to inform both our project team and our clients' decision-making at various phases in a transport, health, and/or education project.
  • Manage and lead client relationships to secure new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans that ensure the achievement of key objectives, including scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Manage internal and external project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients and Mott MacDonald across multiple sectors, including (but not limited to): transport, health, education, and defence.

This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong project and time management skills. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Australian contractor sector and/or NSW/ACT-based infrastructure owner and delivery entities.
