About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our team at Hiway Stabilizers Australia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating a range of plant and machinery, including stabilisers, spreader trucks, and rollers, to deliver stabilising works on projects across South Australia and the Northern Territory.

With a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, you will work closely with our supervisors, leading hands, and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of projects. You will also contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our plant and equipment, and assist with repair and maintenance activities as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a range of plant and machinery, including stabilisers, spreader trucks, and rollers
  • Assist with projects as required, including stabilising works and maintenance activities
  • Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our plant and equipment
  • Work closely with our supervisors, leading hands, and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of projects
  • Assist with repair and maintenance activities as required
Requirements
  • Current HR drivers licence
  • Civil or Earthmoving experience
  • Construction White Card
  • A positive attitude and commitment towards safety
  • Be a team player and quality focused
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
  • Current plant tickets (skid steer, sweeper, loader, watercart, roller, self-propelled aggregate spreader) advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience working in the Stabilisation industry, including experience operating Wirtgen WR240 or WR2400 Stabilisers, or Streumaster Binder Spreaders
  • Asphalting or Spray Seal experience
  • HC or MC drivers licence will be advantageous
