Claims Professional for Industrial Special Risk Placements

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is a leading provider of property insurance solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Claims professional to join our Property team in Sydney, Australia.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of claims and provide high levels of customer service and technical claims management with a proactive approach to achieving strong results for insureds.
The role involves collaboration with the broader BHSI Property team on claims trends, portfolio development, policy wordings, and risk issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a broad portfolio of claims and providing high levels of customer service and technical claims management
- Collaboration with the broader BHSI Property team on claims trends, portfolio development, policy wordings, and risk issues
- Being a market face of Property claims for BHSI and working together with customers, brokers, and vendors to drive claims to timely and appropriate solutions
Requirements include:
- Minimum of 5 years of corporate/commercial property claims handling experience; including business interruption
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
- A high level of professionalism and personal responsibility
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, loss adjusting designations or matching equivalency required
Salary: AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience
