About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Technician to join our team at Rio Tinto's Yarwun alumina refinery in Queensland, Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various non-destructive testing techniques to monitor plant condition, including Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, crack detection, and weld inspection.
  • Produce detailed plant condition reports with relevant standards.
  • Complete routine inspections on all equipment across the site.
  • Maintain the refinery's Non-Destructive Testing Reporting Systems and identify changes to the maintenance strategy based on plant condition data.
  • Liaise with engineering team members to establish priorities for work arising from plant condition data.
Requirements
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
  • AINDT qualifications or equivalent in Ultrasonic Testing Level 1, Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Motivation and commitment to learn a new skill and grow your career.
  • Good working knowledge of NDT.
  • A passion for improving plant and ensuring a safe and reliable asset.
