Procurement Specialist

This 12-month fixed term contract in Dandenong presents a unique opportunity for an experienced Indirect Buyer to join our Procurement team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for supporting construction projects by providing efficient and secured tools for indirect procurement activities.
The successful candidate will have strong experience managing the supplier selection process, creating supplier contracts, and executing contract management. Additionally, they will possess a solid knowledge of costing activities and support the implementation of commodities strategy at country level.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and launch Requests for Quotations with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Support supplier panel relationships and lead project negotiations in accordance with Australian Standards.
- Monitor Procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution, including FAI, Business Awards, and Product development.
- Support Indirect commodity strategy and panel elaboration, as well as consolidate commodity needs and inputs.
- Manage specific supplier panel relationships, including negotiation, specific agreements, and local supplier QCDT performances.
- Manage all contract variations and claims with suppliers, ensuring compliance and resolution.
- Demonstrated experience in defining indirect procurement strategy and supporting make-or-buy decisions.
- Proven ability to lead negotiations and stakeholder engagement, resulting in effective outcomes.
- Previous experience as Estimator, Costing Officer, or Sourcing Specialist within Residential Building, Commercial building, or other Construction industries.
- Knowledge of cost structures and costing activities during pre-tendering phases, target price analysis, and gap analysis.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
