Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Customer Service Executive to join our team in Newcastle. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our business customers through day-to-day phone-based management.

This role reports directly to the Customer Service Manager and involves utilising your outstanding Customer Service experience to enhance customer relationships, grow and sustain the business services portfolio, and explore sales opportunities through proactive promotion of our services via inbound and outbound activities.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Conduct outbound calls to existing customers and provide first-class customer service.
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and customers of various solutions we offer.
  • Identify new business lead opportunities and communicate these via standard operating procedures to the relevant field sales person.
  • Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone conversations, and networking.
  • Effectively manage and resolve all customer enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Foster client retention and protect existing portfolios by identifying opportunities to re-sign and upgrade existing contracts.
  • Create quality sales leads for the field-based sales team.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure customer enquiries are resolved efficiently.
  • Achieve 1st contact resolution.
  • Process enquiries efficiently and proactively resolve client issues.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Prior experience in Sales, Account Management, and Customer Service roles.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Previous working experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent customer service and telesales skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in B2B sales development.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Intermediate computer and system skills.
  • Complaint handling experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and work autonomously.
  • Meeting deadlines and KPIs on a daily/monthly basis.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
