We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Scallywags, a high-quality children's service in William Street.

As a Casual Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for contributing to the education and care of young children aged 0-5 years. You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals who share your passion for providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children to learn and grow.

This role requires a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or Working towards the qualification. You should have a working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. Experience in a similar role in an Education and Care setting is also essential.

The successful applicant will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment. You will be required to hold current approved First Aid, Emergency Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management training, as well as HLTAID010 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Child Protection Training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a high-quality educational program for children aged 0-5 years
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure their child's needs are met
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Bathurst Regional Council offers a competitive hourly rate of $34.34 per hour and a casual position status. The hours of work will vary, but you can expect to work between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
