Metal Fabricator

We're seeking a skilled fabricator to deliver quality craftsmanship on luxury residential and commercial projects across South East Queensland.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabrication of various metal products, working with aluminium and stainless steel, reading plans or CAD drawings and fabricating to spec, collaborating with drafting, installation, and project managers/operations, and ensuring safety, accuracy, and top-notch finishes on every job.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabrication of batten screening, screens, louvres, handrails, gates, and bin enclosures
  • Working with aluminium and stainless steel
  • Reading plans or CAD drawings and fabricating to spec
  • Collaborating with drafting, installation, and project managers/operations
  • Ensuring safety, accuracy, and top-notch finishes on every job
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum 2 years experience in Aluminium Fabrication, preferably with experience in fabricated architectural products
  • Strong TIG and MIG welding skills and a passion for working with metal
  • CNC machine operation experience is a bonus but not essential
  • Ability to read and follow architectural/technical drawings
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
  • Clean and tidy presentation with pride in your work and workspace
