As a Casual School Crossing Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the safety of our community, particularly during school terms.
About the Role
The Casual School Crossing Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of pedestrians, particularly school children, at designated crossings and traffic lights. This role requires a high level of judgment, road sense, and knowledge of Australian road rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist school children and other pedestrians at designated crossings and traffic lights.
- Operate safety equipment and ensure clear visibility for motorists and pedestrians.
- Have good judgment and road sense, and be able to effectively lift and utilise safety equipment.
- Be punctual, reliable, and able to work a variety of shifts, including mornings and afternoons.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role or experience in traffic safety or working with children is highly regarded.
- Ability to effectively lift, utilise, and operate safety equipment within defined standards.
- Good judgment and road sense, and strong knowledge of Australian road rules.
- Competent understanding and ability to follow Safe Work Procedures to ensure community safety.
