About the Role

As a Home Care Worker at KinCare, you will play a vital part in enhancing the lives of our customers in the Northern Beaches area. Your dedication and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our elderly customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for our customers.
  • Support our customers with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
  • Personal Care: Assist with getting customers up, showered, and dressed for the day, manage medications, and support mobility and therapy goals.
  • Respite and Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and respite to our customers, helping to alleviate stress and anxiety.
  • Transport and Appointments: Transport customers to appointments and social events, ensuring they can stay connected with their community.
  • Complex Care: Provide care for customers with high care needs, including those with dementia.

Requirements

  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • Additional immunisations, including Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and TB (if required).
  • Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle.
  • Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
