We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Leading Hand to join our operational team.
This role would suit an individual looking for a new career challenge and willing to take ownership of day-to-day activities.
As a Leading Hand, you will play a key role in leadership, quality control, and supporting our service operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards while following company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate parts required for works and oversee inwards/outwards goods.
- Mentor and provide on-the-job coaching for apprentices.
- Assist with supervising workshop operations.
- Plan and execute toolbox and pre-start meetings.
- Liaise with supervisors on progress and oversee works.
- Monitor allocated registers and assist with reporting and document support.
- Oversight of branch inventory in accordance with company policy consistent with contract requirements.
The successful applicant should possess:
- Mechanical trade qualifications.
- Leadership experience/ability and exceptional communication skills.
- Extensive experience in maintenance/breakdown repairs of surface/underground mining equipment.
- Demonstrated hydraulic, pneumatic, Can bus & low voltage electrical diagnostics expertise.
- A positive attitude and autonomous self-management ability.
- Proficient computer literacy.
