The RoleThis is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Executive General Manager in South Australia. The successful candidate will be an experienced and confident individual to spearhead an expanding business serving customers across major resource regions in Western Australia.
The role requires a people-focused team player who can demonstrate visible leadership to promote a positive safety culture and develop careers for all employees.
Key Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for the performance of the Environmental Services team in Western Australia, including Demolition and Decommissioning, Asbestos & Hazardous Remediation, Industrial Services, and Scaffolding.
- Lead and manage a mix of in-house self-delivery and subcontracted services through efficient allocation of employees, plant, and equipment.
- Develop and monitor strategic plans, customer plans, budgets, people development & succession plans.
- Ensure all operations meet Work, Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment obligations.
- Project Controls, Commercial & Contract Management, and Procurement.
- Marketing, Business Development, and Tendering.
- Senior-level experience in the Construction industry with developed skills in contracting, commercial, and operational expertise.
- Experience managing human resources matters, building teams including construction workers up to Construction Managers.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Developed presentation skills to internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Proven experience managing project financials and forecasting.
- Experience using Microsoft professional suite and ideally experience with Project Management platforms such as Pronto XI, Procore, Microsoft Project/Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations in a professional manner.
