ICU Registrar/Senior Medical Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Registrar/Senior Medical Officer to join our team at a leading hospital in South Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a strong focus on teaching and professional development.
About the RoleThis is a senior position in our ICU department, where you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced intensivists and medical professionals. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of junior doctors, and contributing to the development of our ICU program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert patient care in the ICU setting
- Lead a team of junior doctors and medical students
- Contribute to the development of our ICU program and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 2-3 years of experience post-rotations in an Emergency Department, ICU/Critical Care environment
- A minimum of 6 months ICU experience and 6 months Anaesthetics experience
- Procedural sedation experience, current ALS certification, and competence with PICC lines, ART lines, intubation, etc.
- The ability to manage a critically unwell patient with several years of experience
