Catering Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Food Services Associate to join our team at Edward Collick Home in Kalgoorlie. This role offers flexibility with casual and part-time positions available.

This essential position plays a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive well-prepared, nutritious meals that cater to their individual dietary needs and enhance their daily living experience.

• Assist in the preparation, portioning, serving, and timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents.
• E nsure meals are served in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences, as outlined by clinical staff and the Food Services Program (FSP).
• Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the FSP, including temperature checks, recording deliveries, and maintaining food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in food preparation, service, and dining areas in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to support a clean and safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and address food-related concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A recognised Food Handling Course completion.
• A current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• First Aid certification.
• Previous experience in residential aged care food services is highly regarded.
• A background in hospitality or catering will be well regarded.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary requirements in an aged care setting is an advantage.
