The Night Shift Leader

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to lead by example and provide exceptional guest experiences during the night hours. As an Assistant Night Manager, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless operations and fostering a culture of excellence within the hotel.

• Front Office Operations Management: Oversee Front Office activities to maintain high standards, guaranteeing that guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay.
• Guest Satisfaction Monitoring: Collaborate with the Front Office Manager to evaluate guest satisfaction and identify trends for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Guest Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for regular and important guests, providing personalized attention and ensuring their needs are met.
• Night Audit Duties: Complete accurate and timely night audits, ensuring the integrity of financial records and facilitating smooth transitions between shifts.
• Room Occupancy Maximization: Implement strategies to maximize room occupancy at optimal rates, promoting hotel services and facilities through up-selling techniques.
• Currency and Cash Handling: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash handling procedures according to the hotel's credit policy.
• Representation and Leadership: Represent the Night Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility for hotel operations and making informed decisions.
• Security and Emergency Procedures: Act in accordance with all security and emergency protocols, initiating necessary actions as required.
• Shift Handovers: Compile comprehensive handovers to early staff or Duty Managers, ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities and knowledge.
• Training and Development: Participate in relevant training courses and contribute to the Night Team's growth and development efforts, maintaining current knowledge of hotel products and services.
• Health and Safety Checks: Conduct regular health and safety checks and night walks to ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Hotel Awareness: Maintain a good awareness of all hotel areas, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective measures.

• Leadership Experience: Previous supervisory experience in Front Office within the hotel, leisure, or retail sector is essential.
• IT Proficiency: A competent level of IT proficiency is necessary for effective performance.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills are crucial for success in this role.
• Customer Service: A commitment to delivering a high level of customer service is expected.
• Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in challenging situations.
