Unlock the future of cybersecurity with a dynamic role as Data Reliability Engineer. We're seeking an experienced professional to join our Data Services team and take our database systems to the next level.

About The Role

In this challenging position, you will be responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of data components, including Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL and PostgreSQL. Your expertise will be crucial in operating and automating properly configured clusters, ensuring the safety, security, and availability of petabytes of critical business data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a deep understanding of data components, including Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Operate and automate properly configured clusters to ensure the safety, security, and availability of petabytes of critical business data.
  • Develop infrastructure services to support the engineering team's pursuit of a full devops model.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues.
Requirements
  • Configuration management (Chef)
  • Scripting in Python and bash
  • Experience with large-scale datastores using technologies like Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL.
  • Experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments
  • Experience operating within the cloud, preferably Amazon Web Services, GCP and OCI
