Maintenance Planner Role

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare and implement maintenance strategies to ensure cost-effective equipment maintenance.
  • Track and manage plant maintenance schedules, work orders, and performance KPI's.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement by analyzing manufacturing and engineering data.
  • Plan and schedule daily maintenance activities and resources using SAP.
  • Coordinate with production, maintenance fitters, electricians, and external contractors to optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensure all documentation related to asset management is well organized and easily retrievable.
  • Supervise and manage contractors, assist maintenance managers, and participate in stores management.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary or trade qualification in mechanical or electrical trades;
  • Experience in reliability-focused maintenance in a manufacturing or process plant environment;
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning principles and procedures, including computerized maintenance planning systems;
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and demonstrated ability to develop and implement improvement initiatives;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of SAP are highly desirable but not essential.
