The Note Issue Department is responsible for developing new banknote designs and supplying high-quality banknotes to meet community demands.

  • Provide advice based on research and analysis, contributing to papers, briefing notes, and reports for Senior Leaders.
  • Apply writing skills, sound judgment, and critical thinking skills to support analysis and drafting of project documents.
  • Work closely with legal and procurement teams within the Bank to aid in preparing legal agreements and contracts for projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to execute the objectives of Note Issue.
  • Conduct analysis to inform the ongoing development of banknote strategy and policy.
Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements
  • We're looking for dynamic, motivated graduates with high academic achievement who are interested in ensuring secure and reliable banknotes.
  • You should be a strong written and verbal communicator, a collaborative team player, and strategic thinker, driven to support good policy outcomes.
  • A degree with strong achievement in economics, law, or another commerce or STEM field is required.
  • Australian permanent residency or citizenship, or New Zealand citizenship is mandatory.

About This Role

This full-time role will commence in September 2025 and involve working within the Banknote Strategy and Engagement team in Note Issue.

As a Graduate Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in this exciting area of public policy.
