Role Overview

A unique opportunity has emerged for a Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our Rockhampton Workshop team. This position presents a chance for long-term growth within the company, working on a diverse fleet of vehicles.

About the Role

This role involves performing routine maintenance checks and servicing, diagnosing issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems, and repairing mechanical components. You will also be responsible for conducting safety inspections, documenting maintenance and repair work, and interacting with operational leaders and drivers to ensure efficient completion of tasks.

Salary Details

The salary package includes an hourly rate of approximately $35-$40 AUD per hour, plus annual leave loading and various allowances. An increased sign-on bonus is available for successful candidates, along with opportunities for professional development and training sessions.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must possess a valid qualification in heavy commercial vehicle technology (Certificate III in HV Mechanical Technology) and have proof of experience within the industry. Excellent time management skills, dedication to safety and quality assurance policies, and strong communication skills are also essential.
