About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Research Associate to join our team at Calvary Care. As a Clinical Research Associate, you will play a key role in developing clinical research projects, preparing publications, and participating in local and regional cancer research committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical research projects in collaboration with our research team.
  • Prepare and publish research papers in reputable scientific journals.
  • Participate in local and regional cancer research committees to stay up-to-date on the latest research developments.
  • Supervise junior medical and nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative programs in both the delivery of care and clinical training.
  • Attend outreach clinics in Greater Newcastle and in country centers as designated by the hospital.
Requirements
  • A primary medical degree registrable with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Eligibility for Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and/or equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the Enterprise Agreement of the Health Insurance Act 1973.
  • Eligibility for Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) and/or equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the Enterprise Agreement or the Health Insurance Act 1973.
  • Clinical inpatient, outpatient, and laboratory experience in Haematology.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work proficiently unsupervised and as a member of a multidisciplinary team during periods of high demand and activity in an organized manner.
