Lead Project Lawyer - Energy Solutions

We're driving Australia's energy transition by delivering infrastructure solutions. This role plays a key part in the Legal, Governance & Regulatory team in Brisbane or Sydney.

The primary objective is to provide effective and strategic legal advice enabling delivery of Major Projects within our risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and commercial legal advice for Energy Projects on a whole-of-project basis.
  • Provide general commercial advisory and dispute resolution services.
  • Assist with joint venture agreements, MOUs, LOIs, and term sheets.
  • Manage legal risk for major projects across the business.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve standards and processes for using legal services.

Requirements:

  • A current practising certificate as a Legal Practitioner in Australia.
  • Strong experience advising on major projects with exposure to construction law and contracts.
  • Excellent contract interpretation and drafting skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of major projects gained from law firm training and in-house experience.
  • Technical skills to drive strategy and work unsupervised.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
