Job Title: Search and Rescue Aircrew Officer

CHC Group Australia (Crew) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircrew Officer to join our team. As a key member of our search and rescue operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of our aircraft's rear cabin during flying operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform search and rescue, emergency medical, rappelling, sling loading, passenger transport, and winching operations.
  • Manage the aircraft's rear cabin and ensure the safe transportation of personnel and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the aircraft captain to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.
  • Work in various onshore and offshore environments, including remote and challenging destinations.
Requirements:
  • CASA Class II medical certification.
  • Current Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen (HLTAID015) and Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certifications.
  • Flight Radiotelephone Operators License.
  • CASA-approved hoist endorsement under CASR PART 133/13.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Cert IV in Aviation (CASA compliance).
  • SAR/EMS experience.
  • Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (H.U.E.T) and Emergency Breathing Systems (EBS) certifications.
  • SLS Bronze Medallion and Certificate II Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue).
  • NVIS qualified and Night Operation Experience.
  • FLIR imagery systems experience.
Skills and Experience:
  • Current Class 1 driver's license.
  • Minimum 500 hours of aircrew experience.
  • Pass Company physical fitness assessments.
  • Effective communication, planning, and organization skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of all relevant IT systems.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a complex and urgent environment.
