The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced ICT Systems Administrator to join our team at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia. As a key member of our Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support unit, you will play a critical role in supporting the administration of our ICT networks and contributing to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Commonwealth with network tasks and implement a network performance monitoring system
- Assist with the upgrade of Linux systems, virtualisation environments, and desktop imaging systems
- Support the upgrade of JIRA-based services, network auditing systems, and core hardware
- Implement logging systems, network security, and end-point security and white-listing systems
- Support knowledge transfer to and mentoring of permanent SMU staff
- 4 years' minimum experience in a similar role
- Relevant ICT qualifications in network administration
- JIRA Expert, VMWare administrator, Storage (Net App) administrator, SQLServer administrator, and experience with other databases
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience
- An understanding of Electronic Warfare and Defence experience
