Youth Department Assistant / Communication Coordinator - South Australian Conference
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Youth Department Assistant / Communications Coordinator. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people and contribute to the success of the South Australian Conference.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating youth-centered events and activities, including all administrative support activities for youth events. You will work closely with the Youth Director to plan and execute events, manage logistics, and ensure smooth execution. Additionally, you will establish and implement communications strategies in conjunction with the Executive Officers (President, Secretary and CFO) to promote the resources, initiatives, news, and events produced by the various departments of the South Australian Conference to all stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating logistics for all youth events, including venue hire, guest presenters, invoicing, registration, and queries.
- Managing administrative tasks, such as risk assessments, reimbursement requests, credit card reconciliation, and meeting minutes preparation and dissemination.
- Assisting in the preparation of and updating the Youth Department Calendar and the Annual Youth Budget.
- Liaising with various ministries, including Living Ministry Media and the South Australian Conference Digital Media Strategy Project Officer to ensure strategic collaboration of the respective ministries.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should have experience in event coordination, administration, and communications, preferably in a similar field. A passion for working with young people and commitment to the values of the South Australian Conference are essential.
