Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing logistics support within our Tech Supply Warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee and coordinate logistics tasks, including warehousing, distribution, receiving, and disposal of goods.
  • Information Flow: Facilitate effective communication between logistics personnel and management, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.
  • Customer Service: Deliver high-quality, customer-focused logistics services and advice in line with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and manage inventory control procedures within the warehouse.
  • Stocktaking: Coordinate stocktaking activities, ensuring accurate inventory records and efficient material handling.
  • Goods Receipts: Oversee the goods receipt process, resolving discrepancies promptly and liaising with procurement personnel as necessary.
  • Health and Safety: Promote and ensure compliance with health and safety practices at the site and within the workplace.
Requirements
  • Minimum Essential:
    • Completion of Year 12 or equivalent experience in a relevant or related discipline.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in logistics or warehousing.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with various stakeholders.
    • Proficiency with MS Office.
    • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Desirable:
    • Forklift Licence.
    • First Aid Certification.
    • CPR Certification.
    • White Card.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift items up to 10kg independently.
  • Frequent requirements to walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Occasional requirement to stand.
