Key Role Accountabilities
  • Project leaders provide strategic guidance on both management and technical issues to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • They play a key role in mentoring and directing signalling teams, providing leadership and technical expertise to team members while developing their skills.
  • Developing and maintaining signalling skillsets and competencies across multiple operators and technologies is essential.
  • Providing high-quality engineering design and consultancy services to the rail industry in Australia requires strong technical knowledge.
  • Design verification involves providing feedback and technical support to other team members.
  • Effective bid management and delivery involve promoting solid client relationships and liaising with Commercial Managers and Client Relationship Directors.
Qualification & Experience Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • 20+ years of experience in railway signalling design, spanning multiple operators and signalling technologies (conventional and in-cab).
  • A proven track record of working on multidisciplinary rail projects across the project lifecycle.
  • Established industry networks as a recognised leader in rail signalling would be advantageous.
  • Membership of and engagement with key industry bodies could be beneficial.
  • Hold CPEng/NER/RPEQ or equivalent certifications.
