Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Solutions Architect to join our team in Queensland. As a key member of our SRDE Solution Design Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data solutions that meet the needs of our clients in the credit risk and banking environment.

  • Analyze and interpret complex business requirements to provide impactful solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive impact analysis and effort estimation to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Design cross-functional enterprise data solutions that maximize reusability and minimize technical debt.
  • Manage technical governance activities and maintain high-quality technical documentation to ensure seamless collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Engineer data products through sourcing, design, data quality assurance, and efficient placement to deliver high-quality results.
  • Define and implement solutions using a variety of technologies, including SAS, Hadoop, Azure, and ETL tools, to leverage their full potential.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Credit Risk Business Units, Service Owners, Tech Leads, and LOB Leads, to prioritize and manage requirements effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to design principles and align with enterprise standards to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Support Agile teams in full-stack development processes, from design to deployment, using DevOps best practices to streamline delivery.
  • Work closely with business units to understand and map credit risk-related data elements to drive informed decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a large, complex Credit Risk and/or Banking environment.
  • 10+ years of project and delivery experience in business and technology solutions, focusing on engineering complex data processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and SAS (5+ years), including experience with Base SAS, SAS/Macro, SAS DI Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Management Console.
  • 5+ years of experience with a diverse technology stack, including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, Python, Java, Spring Boot, Git, Flink, CosmosDB, Akka, Scala, SQL, and Synapse.
  • Proven experience with data warehousing, modeling, integration tools (Informatica, Sterling), and BI tools (IBM Cognos/TM1, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Expertise in cloud-based design, especially Azure and serverless architecture.
