Are you looking for a challenging role in project management?

This position is responsible for planning, managing and completing projects in a safe, efficient, timely and cost-effective manner. As Construction Manager, you will play a key role in delivering allocated projects and providing leadership to construction crews.

The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industrial electrical infrastructure construction projects, including installation of High Voltage equipment and systems. Specific experience in the construction of substations and/or renewable projects is highly advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, managing and delivering allocated projects
  • Managing WHS, Environmental and Quality systems for the work group and subcontractors
  • Providing leadership, communication and supervision to all employees and subcontractors
  • Managing key customer and stakeholder relationships to ensure that the agreed services are delivered in a timely manner
  • Planning and coordinating the works allocated and managing the overall performance of the work group- including in productivity, financial, employee commitment, customer service and compliance.

As Construction Manager, you will be required to be on site as needed to manage project requirements. Rosters vary depending on the requirements of different projects, but most common roster is 10:4. Overtime at double time and travel allowances apply.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are essential for this role:

  • Leadership experience in heavy industrial electrical infrastructure construction projects, including installation of High Voltage equipment and systems
  • Specific experience in the construction of substations and/or renewable projects is highly advantageous
  • A Current SA Electrical Trade Certificate and Current SA Electrical worker registration is essential
  • A Current South Australian Drivers Licence
