About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Labor Relations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring positive labor relations on our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and administer applicable labor union contracts, enforcing work rules and keeping abreast of labor laws and related legislation.
  • Work with subcontractor representatives to ensure labor contracts are interpreted correctly and work rules are enforced uniformly.
  • Analyze labor problems and implement corrective actions to prevent work stoppages and construction schedule delays.
  • Conduct informal and formal grievance hearings in accordance with applicable labor union contract procedures.
  • Interface with craft workforce, construction leadership, clients, and the general public.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to prioritize, pivot, and respond to conflicting priorities.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Previous employment relationships, employee or industrial relations, leadership skills, and HSE legislative knowledge.

The salary for this role is approximately $120,000 per year, plus a range of benefits including private health cover, access to an employee assistance program, and a market-aligned salary package.
