We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our Future Hub - Risk Transformation team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the transformation of our risk and compliance management practices.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the endorsement of target outcomes from risk transformation, with an initial focus on non-financial risk management.
- Influence business leaders to own and drive risk transformation within their respective business areas.
- Establish qualitative and quantitative metrics to demonstrate progress made towards realization of target outcomes.
- Lead/contribute to the design of target state operational risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and standards, including the target state risk governance model.
- Provide subject matter expertise, coaching, training, and/or guidance to support business areas in implementing target uplift in risk management practices.
- Engage extensively with the business, Line 1, and Line 2 risk management teams during design and implementation phases.
- Prepare reports, insights, and updates to executives on the progress of design and implementation activities.
- 7+ years of experience in a Line 1 or Line 2 operational risk and compliance role, preferably within Central Banking or Financial Services.
- Experience in design, build, and implementation of risk and compliance frameworks, overseeing structural change, risk management policies, coaching, and training.
- Demonstrated ability in supporting a business and Line 2 stakeholders to invest in strengthening risk management practices.
- Understanding of current industry best practices regarding risk and/or compliance frameworks/practices, preferably within Central Banking or Financial Services.
- Ability to identify and anticipate risk and/or compliance-related challenges related to our strategy and operational processes.
- Understanding of Bank-wide (or similar organization) risk and compliance management frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, risk, compliance, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Considerable C-Suite stakeholder management experience, including the ability to influence.
- Demonstrated negotiation and resolution management skills.
