About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Lawyer, Privacy and Data to join our specialist Privacy & Data Legal team. As a trusted adviser, you'll provide quality, commercially astute, and timely legal advice to ANZ clients in an efficient and proactive manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on a full range of data, privacy, automation, and innovation matters, including privacy compliance, legal data protection reviews, privacy by design, and data breach management.
  • Support ANZ's incident response program and work closely with other enablement functions, including the Legal Team, Privacy Risk, and Procurement.
  • Partner with external law firms to provide additional assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • More than 7 years of post-qualification experience in privacy and data law.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills with a demonstrated track record of managing challenging workloads.
  • Practical, analytical skills with the ability to articulate legal risks clearly and concisely.
