About the Role

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our product development team. This role focuses on enhancing product durability and reliability through physical testing of vehicle systems.

The successful candidate will work within a small team, supporting the durability & corrosion attribute teams, to identify issues and provide insights to support root cause analysis. Ensuring vehicles stand the test of time is essential in this role.

This position requires knowledge of all vehicle systems to identify problems and develop solutions. The ability to extract key details from large datasets and explain technical concepts to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge is also required.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and minimum 5-8 years of relevant industry experience. An understanding of fatigue and physics of static and dynamic loading systems is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understand system-level and vehicle-level attributes to identify durability-related issues and assist in resolving engineering problems.
  2. Lead the execution of vehicle durability and corrosion testing, supporting technicians in preparing and completing tests.
  3. Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to plan, track, and demonstrate continuous improvement in durability performance.
  4. Support quality and attribute teams to investigate field issues, providing insights based on test results and methods.

About You:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5-8 years of relevant industry experience.
  3. Ability to extract key details from large datasets.
  4. Ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  5. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively prioritize work/testing.
  6. An understanding of fatigue and the physics of static and dynamic loading systems is an advantage.
