About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a school team in Melbourne's western suburbs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and youth. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating Occupational Therapy services to students with various intellectual and physical disabilities.
In consultation with the Principal, teaching staff, and other allied health professionals, you will identify priorities for students through a Transdisciplinary approach. You will also assist and participate in the development of policies, strategies, processes, and procedures for the effective delivery of Occupational Therapy services to students.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have a high level of resilience and ability to balance personal well-being in challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate Occupational Therapy services to students
- Consult with the Principal, teaching staff, and other allied health professionals to identify priorities for students
- Assist and participate in the development of policies, strategies, processes, and procedures for the effective delivery of Occupational Therapy services to students
- Work collaboratively with the school team to achieve shared goals and objectives

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Completed an Occupational Therapy Tertiary degree
- Full AHPRA registration
- 2-3 years of Australian experience as an Occupational Therapist working with children and adolescence
- A current driver's license and car
- Eligibility to work permanently in Australia
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to meet deadlines
- Well-developed resilience and ability to balance personal well-being in challenging situations

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum
