About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions that drive innovation in power systems management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement advanced software applications using Python programming language to analyze and model DER behaviors during disturbances.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate distributed energy resources into operational and technical functions.
  3. Design and develop control room visualization interfaces using SQL building blocks, packaged with Python.
  4. Participate in a work program to enhance AEMO tools for managing low demand/high DER periods.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in software development and/or the energy industry.
  • Significant experience using Python to build large-scale systems.
  • Quantitative analysis skills, including problem solving, modeling, and critical thinking.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts to scope and define enhancements and new features.
