Role Overview

The successful applicant will contribute to the development of the Early Learning Centre's curriculum, fostering positive relationships with children, staff, and families.

The role involves planning, preparation, and implementation of learning programs and environments for children, as well as contributing to children's records of observations on their learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team leader and educational leader to develop the ELC's curriculum.
  • Nurture positive relationships with children, staff, and families, promoting health, safety, and wellbeing of children and developing positive and respectful relationships.
  • Contribute to children's records of observations on their learning.
  • Plan, prepare, and implement appropriate learning programs and environments for children, guiding professional practice based on the Australian EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework).
  • Work within a legal and ethical framework, based on NQS and national regulations.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative and respectful relationships with colleagues and the wider community.
  • Attend staff meetings, actively participating in critical reflections about professional practice, pedagogical strategies, ELC philosophy, and curriculum.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong commitment to serving Jesus Christ as Lord, demonstrated passion for biblically-based Christian education, and a personal commitment to the Emmaus Vision, Mission, and Values.

You will have a Certificate III in Children's Services approved by ACECQA or working towards an Early Childhood Education qualification.

Additionally, you will have understanding and knowledge of the standards set by the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
