Rehabilitation Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals in Canberra.
About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist to work with us and make a real difference in people's lives. As a valued team member, you will support people to get well and working by undertaking assessments, developing rehabilitation plans, designing intervention programs, and identifying barriers to maximal work participation.
You will also liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. A strong understanding of healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes is essential in empowering your clients to achieve their wellness and recovery goals.
Responsibilities- Undertake assessments to identify client needs and develop effective rehabilitation plans.
- Design and implement intervention programs using occupation to improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity.
- Identify barriers to maximal work participation and design, implement, and monitor programs to overcome these challenges.
- Liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Australian recognised degree qualification in Exercise Physiology and ESSA accreditation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in the community and have access to a reliable vehicle.
- Current or ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Clearance.
