**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Coating Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying surface finishes and related materials on aircraft structures.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in automotive or aircraft painting, with a strong understanding of quality assurance procedures. They will also possess excellent time management skills, the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and a valid driving licence.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and prepare surfaces of aircraft panels/component surfaces
  • Removal of surface coatings and light corrosion from aircraft or aircraft components
  • Apply paints and specialty coatings via various methods (spraying, rolling and brushing)
  • Apply stencils, decals and aircraft specific markings, livery and registrations
  • Perform rectification work involving the preparation and painting of aircraft components
  • Apply specialised coatings to aircraft components in accordance with approved maintenance data

**Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in automotive or aircraft painting preferred
  • Similar experience in other aviation industry position or in related industry
  • Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance procedures (Experience with aviation procedures preferred)
  • Have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Have or able to apply for ASIC card
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Hold a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence
