Job Overview:

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality care and support to clients in our Aged Care/Dementia Cottages and Disability day program.
  • Supervise a team of part-time, full-time, and casual/agency support workers, providing guidance, feedback, and training to ensure excellent care.
  • Liaise with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure individual needs and preferences are met.
  • Work collaboratively with our existing Cottage Supervisor and Service Supervisors to drive success and achieve shared goals.

Responsibilities:

  • As a supervisor, work closely with the Manager of Aged Care and Disability to ensure safe, high-quality, and effective services for recipients and their carers.
  • Key tasks include supervising and monitoring staff, liaising with stakeholders, ensuring compliance, conducting staff meetings, reporting outputs, managing budgets, evaluating and implementing innovations, promoting a safe working environment, developing relationships, and possessing the necessary qualifications and skills.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in aged care, allied health, or nursing and a minimum of 2 years' experience in aged care, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven leadership skills, enabling you to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care.
  • Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and their practical application.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
  • A current full Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • A current Working with Vulnerable People card and National Police Check.
  • Up-to-date COVID vaccination status, including at least 3 boosters and an annual Flu Shot.
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
