As the leader of Senior School, you will oversee the implementation of school priorities, focusing on teaching literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.

You will devise and execute impactful teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs and support teachers in evaluating program impact on student growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive improvement initiatives at a class, cohort or whole-school level, monitoring and assessing student learning to inform teaching practice.
  • Provide guidance to others in using data to inform teaching and offer feedback to students and parents on learning growth and achievement.
  • Maintain behaviours consistent with Department values, supporting colleagues in adopting these attitudes and contributing to whole-school professional learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the broader community to enhance student agency, wellbeing and engagement.
  • Develop leadership skills in team members and take responsibility for supporting sub-school team members regarding student progress, wellbeing and discipline.
  • Liaise with PLT leaders to develop programs and address concerns related to curriculum and classroom issues.
  • Respond proactively to parent and student concerns, convene meetings, and develop strategies for fostering positive relationships between staff, students and parents.
