Equine Studies Lecturer

This esteemed role involves providing high-quality education and training in equine studies to students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horse management, teaching expertise, and excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities include delivering riding and stable management tuition, designing and implementing horse care courses, and contributing to various college events and activities.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Horse Management or equivalent qualification, along with a teaching qualification and assessor certification. They will be highly motivated, able to work effectively as part of a team, and provide exceptional support to students.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 4:00pm and Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Benefits include an auto-enrolled contributory pension scheme, initial holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays, and access to excellent induction, training, and development programs.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Riding and stable management tuition for College students
  • Horse care courses (Level 1 to Level 3)
  • Contribution/support to College Show, dressage competitions, educational visits, and Taster Days
  • Requirements:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Horse Management or equivalent qualification
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
  • Assessor qualification
  • Highly motivated, excellent communicator, and ability to work as part of a team
