Volunteer Rowing Coach

The role of a volunteer rowing coach is a rewarding and meaningful experience that demands commitment, passion, and hard work.

As a volunteer rowing coach, you will be responsible for planning and delivering rowing sessions under the direction of the coordinator and assistant coordinator. Coaching roles are offered on a seasonal basis from August to March, with weekly commitments varying based on the training and regatta schedule.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Rowing coaches are anticipated to have experience in coaching rowing at a junior or senior level or have experience in rowing at a senior level.

Before commencing, all coaches must hold the following:

  • Rowing Australia Level 1 Coaching Accreditation
  • Current Victorian Marine Licence
  • Current Level 2 First Aid
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children's Check (volunteer or employee status) OR current VIT registration
  • Current Driver's Licence (required only for coaches who will be driving the school bus)
