About the Role

Simonds Group (Corporate) is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in a newly created role. This position will play a critical part in protecting our organisation's information systems and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess security risks and develop robust security infrastructures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our critical information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, design effective security solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in IT or Cyber Security, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in detecting and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Expertise in working with external SOCs to manage and mitigate threats.
  • Proficiency in SIEM and EDR tools, particularly Microsoft Sentinel and Defender.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security controls.
About the Opportunity
